Müller Thurgau Trentino DOC
Nestling in the foothills of the Alps, Trentino is a stunning region of mountains, lakes and vines. The region is one of extremes, with agriculture an age-old challenge since very little of the land lies below five hundred metres above sea level, with much of the rocky surface not able to be cultivated. Vines, however, thrive on challenging environments and many cling to precarious mountainside slopes on terraces which took many decades and much determination to build. The resulting wines have a certain purity of fruit, with wonderful perfumes and minerality. Müller Thurgau arrived in Trentino in the 1950s and found its ideal habitat on the spectacular terraces of the Valle di Cembra, where the grapes are grown at up to 680 metres above sea level. Müller Thurgau produces wines which are the very essence of the region – aromatic and elegant.

Vines are 20-25 years old. | | Ageing | The wine is bottled in the early part of the year in order to capture the freshness. | | Tasting notes | The Canaletto Müller Thurgau has an intense peachy aroma. The palate is light and refreshing, while bursting with zingy citrus fruit flavours. An excellent aperitif. |
